MINDFUL MOVEMENT YOGA

MINDFUL MOVEMENT YOGA CLASSES

MM - An Advanced Beginner(+) Vinyasa Yoga Style Class. The word "Vinyasa" means "to place in a special way" in Sanskrit.  We will purposefully practice a flowing sequence of poses, synchronized with the breath. One Breath, One Movement.

MM 1 - This 4 session Vinyasa focused program is for individuals completely new to yoga. This class will place an emphasis on basic pose familiarization and hands on alignment assistance.

MM 2 - This 4 session Vinyasa focused program is for individuals familiar with yoga, and looking to brush up on skills and those who have completed Level 1. This class will place an emphasis on more advanced pose familiarization, hands on alignment assistance and beginner flows.MM FLOW- Vinyasa Style classes for experienced beginner+ students currently practicing yoga.

GENTLE MM - A Gentle Vinyasa Style class for individuals newer to yoga and those looking looking for a slower flow with minimal time on wrists, shoulders and knees.

MM - Advanced beginner + Vinyasa Yoga Style Class. The word "vinyasa" means "to place in a special way" in Sanskrit.  We will practice a flowing sequence of poses that are synchronized with the breath. One Breath, One Movement.

MM & M - Advanced beginner + Vinyasa Yoga Style Class, with the addition of a 30 minute meditation, following Savasana.

MM YIN - This slow-paced, meditative style of yoga, with fewer postures, held longer, will offer increased circulation in joints and improved flexibility.

INSIDE FLOW - A NEW evolution of Vinyasa Yoga! Inside Flow offers yoga sequences, choreographed to music of every genre. These 90 minute classes will incorporate yoga, dance and music, with the idea that "Music is the language of the heart”. “It helps us to convey feelings through motion.” Each month a new flow will be offered and practiced together weekly. This class will encourage students to come together and “Move as One”. Looking for something new? Try Inside Flow."

All sequences will work to focus on the “One Breath, One Movement” philosophy of Vinyassa Yoga. Blocks, bolsters, straps, towels etc., as well as shape modifications, will be used, to open, strengthen, lengthen and quiet our bodies. The goal is to be sure Vinyassa flow is available to yogis of different abilities, ages and interests. The sequences will help build strength, flexibility and balance. I will work to include mindfulness in the movements for inner peace, confidence, calm and a sense of community with fellow students.

Whether you are advanced, know the basics of yoga, or have never stepped to the mat before, I would be grateful for the opportunity to meet you where you are and practice in community for mind and body wellness.
